People of Pakistan are disenchanted with PTI due to its volatile and haphazard policies. The Covid 19 pandemic and economic recession have already put the country in a grim situation but some recent events and unfortunate incidents show the badly failed policies of government. Here are some episodes;

Firstly, the government was confused from initial stages regarding the corona virus policy that weather it should go for lock down or not. Full lock down, TTQ (Test, Track and Quarantine) and smart lock down are some segments of the governments policy. Mainly the disagreement between Federal and provincial government (especially Sindh)on Covid 19 policy has remained the headline in this entire landscape.

Secondly, khan’s administration has been proven inefficient to decompose the established “mafia” in every industry of Pakistan. When government decreases the prices, the mafia stocks commodities and creates an artificial shortage, afterwards they demand for price hike. Most recent crisis of sugar, wheat and oil are flagrantly telling that the Pakistani economy is monopolized by this mafia.

Thirdly, the plane crash incident in last month that killed 97 people. The aviation Minister Ghulam Sarwar khan without any investigation or evidence said on the floor of Parliament that 262 out of 860 pilots are having fake licences however later it turns out that those pilots are just suspected of dubious licences. Only 28 confirmed fake licenses have been proven as of yet, moreover PIA is going to pay a heavy price for this public and transparent report as European Union and UK have already suspended PIA flights for 6 months and many other countries are considering to do so. International media highlighted this news and to add insult to injury the image of Pakistan as a country that cannot even run its aviation system properly is highly scandalous.

Last but not least, the PTI officials’ statements are just adding fuel to fire in this situation. Highly disorganized and illogical addresses and press conferences by state officials are not only damaging the image of government but also hurting the common people sentiments who voted for the “Change” and “Naya Pakistan”. From Prime Minister's address in National assembly, calling Osama Bin laden a ‘shaheed” to Fawad khan’s interview, debunking the intra party clashes. From Zartag Gull’s 19 points of Covid 19 to Omer Ayub’s justification of oil price hike. All are just tarnishing any remaining credibility that PTI and Khan’s government had left.

Imran Khan must add some highly experienced technocrats and advisers in his government who can mitigate the worsening situation. Additionally, the administration should put an end to the mafia that is prevailing Pakistani economy. All policies (except foreign policy ) actually need to be revised and repaired otherwise this is going to be the first and last tenure of PTI.
